In the fatal time... Gundogan saves Barcelona from the Las Palmas trap

Ilkay Gundogan scored a goal from a penalty kick in stoppage time to lead Barcelona to overturn a goal deficit to win 2-1 against ten players from Las Palmas in the Spanish Premier League on Thursday.

Las Palmas opened the scoring in the 12th minute when former Barcelona midfielder Sandro Ramirez passed the ball to Munir El Haddadi, who put it into the net from close range, and the hosts dominated the first half.

Barcelona equalized ten minutes after the break after a defensive error enabled Sergi Roberto to pass the ball to Ferran Torres, who put the ball past goalkeeper Alvaro Vales.

Las Palmas defender Daley Sinkgraven received a red card after pushing Gundogan in stoppage time, and the former Manchester City midfielder scored the winning goal from the penalty kick in the 93rd minute.

Barcelona rose to third place in the league with 41 points, seven points behind Real Madrid and Girona in the lead.
