Barcelona is considering regaining its Moroccan player and selling one of its defenders

The Spanish sports newspaper "Sport" revealed that Barcelona's management is considering restoring Moroccan team player Shadi Riad and selling one of the defenders, to achieve financial balance.

The source said that Barcelona officials will take a strategic decision next summer, which requires the return of center-back Riyad, who currently carries the Real Betis shirt on loan, in exchange for selling either Andreas Christensen or Giulis Kounde.

“Sport” admitted that Riyad and his club officials were informed of Barcelona’s decision, including that this move involves “Barca’s” strategy and its collective project.

She added that all statistical indicators indicate that the 20-year-old player will only return to Barcelona, “unless there is a major obstacle.”

Shadi is performing with Real Betis this season, as he participated in 13 matches, during which he performed at distinguished levels.

The young player wears the shirt of the Moroccan national team for under 23 years, while the voices of the Moroccan fans rose to invite him to be invited by the first team as soon as possible.
