Arsenal entered a spiral of bad results, suffering two losses in a row for the first time this season in the English Football League, after falling on Sunday at Fulham 1-2 in the twentieth round, and failed to top the standings temporarily.
After losing to its guest, West Ham, coming from the east of the capital, 0-2, on Thursday, the north London team, aspiring to its first league title in two decades, suffered a second loss, this time against its host in the west of the foggy city.
This is the third match in a row in which Arsenal failed to achieve victory. They failed to lead the standings temporarily and remained fourth (40 points), two points behind the leaders, Liverpool and Aston Villa, and with a goal difference behind the defending champion, Manchester City, noting that the latter and Liverpool played one less match.
On the other hand, Fulham achieved its first victory after losing 3 matches in which no goals were scored and strengthened its position in the warm thirteenth place.
Unlike Arsenal, its neighbor to the north of the capital, Tottenham, succeeded in recovering after its harsh defeat at the hands of Brighton 4-2, by beating its guest, Bournemouth Thirteenth, 3-1, before its trip to Old Trafford for a heated confrontation next Sunday against Manchester United.
Tottenham narrowed the difference to a point with its fourth-place neighbor, Arsenal.
