The developer of Rise of the Ronin confirms that there are 3 difficulty options in the game

Recently, the release date for the anticipated PlayStation 5 exclusive, Rise of the Ronin, was set, as it is coming in March 2024 on PS5. Then Team Ninja started revealing some important information about their game.

We knew that it would include multiple endings and that you would determine the fate of the characters yourself, but it seems that it would differ slightly from previous Team Ninja games, as we are used to team games being very difficult games like Souls games that do not usually include difficulty options.

But with Rise of the Ronin, Team Ninja studio confirmed in a recent interview with Jeuxvideo that Rise of the Ronin will come to us with three difficulty options, which is completely unusual for Souls-like titles that traditionally have one high difficulty.

The developers say that their games are not designed to be easy but for Rise of the Ronin, they wanted to try to make it accessible to as many players as possible. Difficulty options in the game include an easy option for those who prefer to focus on the story, which is the Narrative option, there is a medium option for those who like to have a balanced experience between challenge and narrative, and finally, there is a Hard option.

As the name suggests, the narrative mode is for players who just want to experience the story without any serious combat. Medium is the standard medium difficulty level that will provide some challenge while Hard is in line with previous Team Ninja games like Nioh and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.
