English Premier League: Manchester City overcomes a deficit to secure a significant win.

After Phil Foden, Julian Alvarez, and Bernardo Silva scored three goals in the second half to help Manchester City defeat Everton 3-1 on Wednesday.

The squad moved up to fourth place in the English Premier League. After a run of results that included just one win in six league games, coach Pep Guardiola's team—which had just been awarded the Club World Cup champion—lost its spot in the running for the championship. Still, they made a fantastic comeback to playing domestically.

In the 29th minute, Jack Harrison's close-range strike gave Everton the lead against the run of play. However, in the 53rd minute, Foden scored a spectacular low shot, and Alvarez successfully finished a penalty kick that was awarded due to a handball by Amadou Onana into the net.

Silva settled the points of the match 4 minutes before the end of normal time with a wonderful shot after a mistake by Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

The English Premier League champion Manchester City, who played one fewer game than leaders Liverpool, moved over from Tottenham and into fourth place with 37 points from 18 games.
