City sweeps Fluminense by four... and wins the Club World Cup title

On Friday, England's Manchester City won the FIFA Club World Cup after a comfortable 4-0 victory over Brazilian Fluminense at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Coach Pep Guardiola's team won the title for the first time in its history, adding to its trophy cabinet after winning the English Premier League, Champions League, and FA Cup treble last season and the European Super Cup.

Striker Julián Alvarez used his chest to divert Nathan Ake's bouncing shot from the right post into Fluminense's net about 40 seconds after the start.

Defender Nino accidentally scored into his own net after a shot from Phil Foden, who added the third goal with a wonderful shot in the 72nd minute.

Alvarez wrapped up City's goals with a low shot two minutes later.

Spaniard Pep Guardiola, City coach, holds the record for winning the competition title, as he raised the number of his victories to 4, after leading Barcelona to the crown in 2009 and 2011 and Bayern Munich in 2013.
